Well, I know a number of you are still battling ol' man winter, but here
in N. Ill. it should be in the mid 50's tomorrow and I'm suffering a bad
case of spring fever. I've had all the remaining trees that crashed
through
my roof last May removed. Its now been 10 months since my spine surgery
and am starting to feel better. Gee, nothing like the thought of pushing
around
1000 lb pumpkins (I didn't mention this to my surgeon).
Out curiosity, how many of our list members, besides myself will be
growing seed from Gary Burkes 1092? Gary guaranteed me at least a 1000
lb'r...
err... a at least that's what I thought he said.
My ill fated suggestion of breaking into teams, died a quick and ugly
death.
However there is no reason why this group should not break Gary's record
this year, given our collective wisdom, knowledge and tenacity. Now,
if I can just remember where I put those seeds........
