RE: Hot caps: How hot is hot?

I've heard that anything over 95F is BAD. 90F is the best you could want, so
anything over that you'd probably want to cool. I would rather leave room
for error and cool it once it gets near 85-90 and than wait until it passes
90.

Subject: Hot caps: How hot is hot?

All,

Well, I just finished building my spring "hotcap" structure.
Its 2'x2'x4' (happened to fit the garden bed). I've seen many
pictures of similar structures previously and the pictures
often have a thermometer. I assume that this is to know when
to open up the structure a bit to cool things down.

So... in your opinion, how hot is too hot? At what point do
you start opening up the plastic? 90F? 95F?

I've asked questions in the past and not received any
answers... so guesses are welcome! If you have an opinion,
please let me know.

Thanks,
David Robinson
