Nate....I know that Dick Wallace has a info sheet out with instructions on
growing giant pumpkins that came with his seeds a few years back. he says
that before the plants go outside,spread 10 lbs of calcium nitrate granular
in a 12 foot diameter circle around each planting site. he then goes on with
the fertilization plans he has for the rest of the year.But at least 10lbs is
a guide you may want to use. I did this last year and did OK.....Glenn
