Re: germinating seeds
We talked with folks at the Rhode Island Pumking Growers, and Don Langevin
told us he personally was starting his seeds Easter Sunday. We did too.
Didn't use the plastic bag technique for the first time. Sanded the edges
and planted into a coffee can with the bottom cut off, and replaced with the
lid. We had full germination in 3 days. The only thing we've run into is not
letting the can get to warm after sprouting, it holds the heat and caused
minor wilting till it cooled back down.
Otherwise, this is working out the best. The first true leaves are already
developing.
