Re: Germination Problems

Diana,
I like your seed choices. We think alike. My 760 and 947 Patrick both
came up, with the 760 looking much better than the 947. Doesn't matter now, a
mouse got in the greenhouse and ate the 947. Planted another today. The 850.5
Hester and 846 Cali made it to my short list but I went with a 800est
Lanterman (801 Stelts x 1006 Greer). My 875 McIntyre, 567.4 Wallace and 929.2
Kuhn look good. Thank God the mouse did not eat them. They seem to eat the
smaller ones. Even got so smart they dug down and ate the seeds that had not
come up yet. Jim Kuhn had this problem last year. He lost some fine seeds to
mice. The 875 Dill also made it to my short list. What was your reasons for
picking these seeds? My 801 Stelts is smaller than the 875, 567.4 and 929.2.
It does look healthy, just slow starting. Anyone know if the 801 is known for
this?

  Alan R.
