Mathew what you say is true enough but I don't think growers are leaving
the plants in a 4 inch peat pot till the true leaf forms they pot up.  Why
start with such a small pot  it easier to warm that mass.  And I usually
pot up after the seedling breaks ground .  I like to wait for the first
true leaf  so I can estimate where the main is going to go.....MB
