RE: The Great Pumpkin
Marc........
Don't feel bad. People in my department thought I'd gone off the deep end
too until I set up a pumpkin growing contest here at work. I gave out seeds
(Big Macs, not AGs), put out weekly reports with patch updates, tips for the
upcoming growing phases of the plants, weather reports (from our own
meteorologist no less), patch pictures on our department web site, the whole
bit. We're even going to have our own (unofficial) weigh-off in October. I
was totally surprised by the response I've gotten with over 40 people
(that's half the department) actively participating. Some still think I'm a
little OCD, but I guess I'm not such the oddball anymore!

PS. The Great Pumpkin finally did rise from the sincere patch (never mind
that it had legs)!

Subject: The Great Pumpkin
people at work are making fun of me because I'm taking pumpkin
growing so
seriously and because I belong to this list. They were wondering if
anyone
of you has waited in a pumpkin patch for the Great Pumpkin to rise
from the
pumpkin patch. :) Like the Charlie Brown character.
