To the list,
I know this is premature but I want to be prepared
when the decision comes. I have in my patch 7 plants (the vegetable garden was
taken over).They are the Checkon 815, Mettler 865, Sproule 968, Mombert 937,
Mettler 974, Checkon 700 and the Patrick 760 (all thanks to my friend Rocky
Rockwell who supplied most of them and put me in contact with the generous
growers who gave me the rest).
My question is when these plants female flowers
need pollinating who should cross with who? I'm concentrating on this year but
if I am lucky enough to grow a monster I want the seeds to have the right
father. The more opinions I get the better decision I can make. If you have any
thoughts I would greatly appreciate them.
