Re: pumpkins DIGEST V1 #1230
Had the gypsy moths last season in a hedge row right next to my patch, and
sprayed with sevin. I went down to the patch t 11:30 at night that very same
evening, and it sounded like a movie house making popcorn.. There is nothing
sweeter than hearing a Gypsy moth's head popping (actally it is his hind
quarter due to the sevin being ingested ito the stomach, where it does its
nasty work) and knowing in the morning you will have thousands of gypsy moths
dead all around. Kinda graphic, but if you saw what they did to the side of a
mountain in less than a week, you would say it wasnt so.. On sid of a highway
had full greenery on it, a lovely sight, and the gypsy moths completey consumed
the other side of the roadway's leaves, stripping it of its natural beauty, and
scaring the bejesus out of the townspeople..
BUY SEVIN!!!!!!! Too bad it doesnt work on Squash Vine Borers..
