Whiteflies
TWIMC-I can vouch that whiteflies certainly like AG plants.
In 1996 on my plant that produced the 941,for much of August there were
clouds of Whiteflies on the underside of the leaves.I called Don Black for
advice and he said he didn't think they did any harm.I am not so
sure,afterall what are they living on?After unsuccessful sprays I just tried
to overlook them.
That was the only year and it was by far my personal best fruit but I still
think they must do some harm.
This year have lost several of my best plants to maggots of some kind
infesting the stem and killing the plant in about 1 day.This also is
completely new and unknow to me.Am struggling to recover.
Not complaining,if there were no challenges this hobby wouldn't be worth the
(potential) results.--AE
