You are so entertaining, seriously, (that was a compliment)!
"Brian", you sure seem to know an aweful lot about me for someone so new to
the list! You must be smart.
Hey guys, let me answer his questions, O.K.? This is not arguing at all, I
am just answering his questions, so don't get all mad. This is information
here! That's all. He asked, I'll answer. It doesn't matter if he was serious
about it or not, he DID ask.... so I'll be nice and answer politely.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh "Brian", my friend, I hardly would call milkweed a "noxious
weed". It is more of a native flower. See, asclepias tuberosa is cultivated
and used as a bedding and border plant. It is a beautiful plant with
clusters of small bright orange flowers. And it is the ONLY species that
Monarch butterflies use to lay their eggs on. I grow them in our own yard
along with other butterfly attracting plants and host plants for them.
And YES, I am going to plant a lot of "weeds" near my pumpkin plants this
year! Yep, I am going to plant tansy, and dill, and radish, and sweet
alyssum, and maybe even buckwheat, and all sorts of other good stuff. See,
these "weeds" will attract a lot of beneficial insects, which will keep all
of the insects which attack pumpkins that I had problems with in check,
including aphids, cuke beetles, and tons of others. I will instead have tons
of lady bugs, lacewings, parasitic wasps, hoverflies, you name it. I think
it will be much more effective than having to use stronger and stronger
chemicals, which at least the cuke beetles I have are already immune to,
(because of the people in the area who used chemicals heavily before for
years).

I know a lot about gardening, botany, biology and the like. If I think I
might be able to throw in an opinion, I will, like anyone else. I also know
a lot about computers, and can even trace anyone who pretends to be someone
else and find out who they really are....go figure.
(I mean, I am just saying!)....don't underestimate people's knowledge based
on predjudices you seem to have.
I said I didn't know for sure about the hotness getting altered via crossed
seeds, I just said that I knew the only part affected directly would be the
seeds. So it could be. I just never did any tests to rank Scovilles (if you
don't know, ask someone else please or look it up) for any that were grown
together. I was just expressing my personal experiences.
And what is the obsession with my picture? That both frightens, and confuses
me. Hmm.... well, trust me, you aren't that much of my enemy to make me send
you my picture. I couldn't be that cruel to anyone! Count yourself lucky!
Well, anyway, I hope that answered your questions, Glenn. I am here to help!
Oh dang, I mean "Brian"! I woudn't want to give away your real identity,
Glenn. But PLEASE don't insult me with your shoddy "fake email"
impersonations. You can do better than that. I know you can! At least you
could have cloaked your IP routing by bouncing off an anon serv, or
something a little more creative like that, to give me at least a LITTLE
challenge.
But I admit, it was fun playing along. (Well, sort of).
Hope you grow a big one this year, regardless. See, I am still a nice guy!
-Steve
