Nightmare in the Pumpkin Patch
Hello, I recently signed up for the pumpkin mailing
list wanting to get smarter about growing pumpkins.
After reading so many posts about Steve instead of
pumpkins, it suddenly dawned on me that I knew him.
He's a guy I ran into one night at a beer party.
There is only one Steve, and once you meet him you
never forget him. He's just like the "cable guy".
You know, he kind of really needs a friend all the
time. So it's sometimes hard to, like, shake him
loose.
There is a good reason he is the way he is. You will
understand fully the moment you see his picture. He
gave me an 8" by 10" glossy color photograph of
himself even though I asked him not to, because, you
know, he wanted me to really like him. I saved the
picture because, well, Steve is different and we did
have a good time together.
