I do not have the interest in putting in misters and the timers they require,
but I have made little "pup-tents" out of three foot lengths of PVC pipe and
shade cloth to cover the new plants and later the tender growing ends of the
vines. Has worked ok in 100 degrees, providing I have given plenty of water.
but not above 100 degrees
John in sunny San Jose - still 85 degrees at ten PM.
