Re: Tricks of the Trade
Ray,
I have been to China many times, but for my day job. I am sincerely jealous
as I never saw a Nangua (pumpkin) in the field there.I do know that the
Chinese people know how to talk to their pumpkins. A group of Chinese friends
visited my patch one year. One of them went up to my largest and gently
stroked and talked to the pumpkin. Well, that pumpkin literally went on a
growth spurt and turned into the largest one I had ever grown at that time!
What he said to the pumpkin that day has been my secret ever since. And, each
year I have beat my own personal best. But, I'll consider trading secrets as
I agree with you that the ancient Chinese secrets are of great value.
As that old Chinese saying goes "A pumpkin on the porch is worth two on the
vine!"
