Hi list:
Started 6 plants 10 days ago they were.
996 Emmons
869 Calie
828 Mombert
974 Eaton
865 Mettler
723 Bill B.
Oops &808 Holland
Six Days later and some poor results i also started 6 of my 705 Girgus.Out
of
those 7 seeds i started the holland sprouted first and looks great still on
first leaf stage. The Calie never made it.828 Mombert came up mangled or to
say freaky looking first two leafs.will plant it at my buddys Patch(got a
new
grower) with plenty of room. He,ll be hooked after this year. The 974 is in
the
hot house next to the 723.Really hope the 723  perks up i think it will.Had
to help it out of the shell on the heating pad after 3 days while
germinating. And the Holland 808 is looking fine Have a 705 next to it for
camparision. And the Mettler the seed i really wanted to be in the other
corner of the patch is coming up slow no first true lesf yet. Had to help
that one out to while still germinating also. But i will also grow that at
my
buds patch.
All the 705's sprouted out of the seed casings in less then 36 hours. Thats
all for now.
Best of luck and weather to all this season.

For some reason the Squash family has deformed first few leaves in cool
weather. I believe it is do to cold soil temps.  Is your soil warn where your
growing this?  I've found that they grow out of this.  Again I'm not sure
that that is what causes it, just a guess.
