I've got both the 656 and the 403 going into the patch this week. So far,
the 656 is the largest and most vigorous of the ten plants I started. If
it keeps this up, it will definitely make the final four.

Howdy!
First, wishing everyone a GREAT YEAR!
After 7+ inches of rain in April and 4+ inches of rain in May....SE MN has
been tough to get into our gardens! However, I am attempting to plant
anyways and will hope for the best. Here is the current status of the quest
for big orange pumpkins:
Hill #1: Planted April 22nd:
656 Bhaskaran (760 Patrick x 815 Checkon) - Starting to vine
403 Bhaskaran (784 Creuziger x 760 Patrick) - 2 inch vine.
Hill #2: Planted April 29th:
655.5 Johnson (produced nice orange shaped Creuziger last year)
552 Millican (793 Hester x 947.2 Patrick)
Hill #3: Planted May 4th:
760 Patrick (801.5 Stelts x 801.5 Stelts)
850 Wallace (567.5 Wallace x 801.5 Stelts)
Hill #4: Planted May 12th:
400 Reynolds (760 Patrick x 929 Kuhn)
760 Patrick (801.5 Stelts x 801.5 Stelts)
My Kids are also trying to beat dad this year and each have 1 plant
growing:
Kids' Hill: Planted May 12th:
910 Stellpflug (Nicholas)
947 Patrick (Natasha)
The SQUASH PROJECT???
I am trying to grow an 862 Hester Squash to cross with a 760 Patrick and
give these seeds to person working on a genetics project to create big,
heavy,
orange pumpkins in California.
Also anyone growing the 656 Bhaskaran or 403 Brandt from the seeds I sent,
would love to hear from you on them.
Thank you.
