RE: New Florida Record!
Tim-a great achievement,congrats---using the list in Danny Dill's latest
newsletter the 610 is also presently ahead of the records in
Georgia,Louisiana,Kentucky,Texas,Idaho,North Dakota,Kansas and Alabama.
That covers a lot of real estate. Looking forward to Barb's pictures.--AE

Hi, List!
The first pumpkin in this hemisphere for the 2001 season weighed in today at
610 pounds! After spending a glorious day in Cortez, FL with Tim Canniff and
crew, I am proud to announce a new Florida record!
Tim's pumpkin was a lovely shade of salmon orange; high, round and had many
ribs. It had a perfect stem, and had mild cantelouping. It was as blemish
free as they come.
I have lots of photos to develop tomorrow and will scan and send them soon.
Lots of digital photos were taken today, so look on Tim's website for the
weigh off photographs there. I have a diskette with some of the digital
photos and will try and post some of these shots to the list a bit later
from
my laptop. (Very tired from the trip!)
It was a super day in south Florida and I am happy to have been a part of
it.
Congrats to Tim for a fine Florida pumpkin.
Tim is certainly a tough act to follow!
Barb
