I put up a 4' wire fence around my patch. This kept last year's patch free
from damage, even from those pesky humans. Opted not to use the razor wire
or install the machine gun nest. We will see how this year goes.

Did you take any concrete steps toward fending off the pests? I forgot
to mention that the patch probably harbors possums (since my porch
does). Only Dennis H has offered any real help.
IF I ever try the methods sent by Vince Z or Glenn P or Pete D, I'm
gonna have to invite George Webster over w/ videocamera to record my
success.
