RE: Weigh-Off How To

Kim,

NEVER GIVE UP.  You still have time to plant new seeds.  Also, depending on the genetics, most seeds have a pretty good potential for big fruit, regardless of the previous year’s size.  Feel free to e-mail me privately if you have any further questions…we will learn together!  I had an article in our employee newsletter to get more people interested in the local weigh-off.  It worked, I have sent out seeds to four more people!

Good luck!

-Gus

To Gus, Kathie, Bruce, and The Eatons -

Thank you all for your replies and advice as to how to get our local weigh-off started. I still have some questions but I'll work on the info you've provided then hit you up again for more wisdom. We live in Western Montana and no, there are no weigh-offs around here. I'm blazing new territory.

I just returned from vacation to find only ONE of my seeds have come up! Of all the years to fail so miserably! I'm starting some again but don't have much variety of seeds - just ones I've saved. Oh well.

I'll be back in touch....

Kim
