Re: OH YEAGH TORRANCE ROOLS !!!!

Kevin:  Glad to hear there is another Giant Pumpkin nut in SoCal. Good luck and I hope the coastal mildew doesn't get you.

Subject: OH YEAGH TORRANCE ROOLS !!!!

  Hi List
Well here is the East Torrance report !!!! After not paying any attention to my plants for a week or so I finally went out and checked them.
Mound # 1.....611 Hester starting to really take off largest plant and only one in a cloche. Must be the trick. Plant is really healthy and starting its second and third leaf. Nice plant..
Mound # 2 ...... 900.8 Lyons No seprise that it is doing great not as vigorous as the rest of the plants but still keeping up..
Mound # 3 ...... 758 Smith OK can we say KILLER four plants planted in the mound three pointed north and one pointed south on the other side of the patch. Dicots are huge and the plants are vigorous like the ones I had growing in the front of my house during the winter. I will cull to one and grow in the quarter flag. I started my seeds five days apart and the last one I put in is better and larger than the rest I hope this keeps up WHAT A WINNER...
Well, all I just wanted to say HI and let you know I am still in the game !!! Take care and sorry to all of you that betted on other CA growers for the first 1000 LB pumpkin in CA "in advance".....
