Miss Washington

George,
Poor Miss Washington won't have any pumpkins to go down in August since
her roots are coming out today. What she looked like yesterday afternoon
was like a section of two-strand rope so tightly wound that it looked
like one strand. Yesterday she came unwound and there were maybe 5-6
inches of open space through which you could look straight through her.
Amazingly, she already had 7-8 true leaves and appeared to be in good
health until the separation began.
It's sad to me since she made up half my patch, the 573 Stucker the
other half.
Is it too late to start a replacement for her?
Thanks!
Kathie
