Kathie,
When I have tried direct-seeding my germination rate was less than 50%.
When I germinate in the controlled environment of my germination chamber my
germination rate is over 98%.
I think the appearance (warped-looking dicots) has little or no effect
predicting
the overall future quality of the plant or its fruit.
