Re: Cal growers

Hi Mike,

I'm not using Agro-K and havn't used any folier spray yet on my
plants but they seem to be doing fine. In fact, even though I
planted about a week later than usual because of the spring
rains, they have all just started the vining thing and are
laying down and starting to run. Never had them start their
run at three weeks from germination before.

I have one maniac plant also, way larger than the other plants.
This is spawn of my 997 which I planted on a whim. It has the
dragon roots of the 846 Calai. I have a stepping board about
two feet from the plant. I pulled it up today and there were a
dozen or more feeder roots under it trying to eat the damn
board.... I won't have any mole problems in this patch, I
suspect that these tenacious tentacles will throttle anything
that gets near them.

The 997 also has huge leaves. The fourth leaf is 24" in
diameter already. The vine is only a little over three feet
long and it has leaves two feet in diameter!! Awesome plant.

All my plants were a little pale until the last few days. Now
they are greening up nicely. It would be nice if we could
break 75 degrees or so one day.....

vince
