Hi Susan,
Although I'm many thousand miles from you, I think the principle is
the same. I try to keep my soil moist (not wet) at all times. I have
my irrigation system on a timer and I vary from 15 minutes once a day
to 30 minutes twice a day according to the soil and weather
conditions. I will stop the irrigation completely if it rains for a
few days.
You want to avoid large moisture variations (dry spells and wet
spells) as it promotes splits.
Good luck!

Greetings all,
I am in the Sacramento Valley. Do you suggest one watering (drip
system)
per day or two, and for how many minutes?
Thanks!
Susan Maggy
