If these are being grown strictly for ornamental purposes use anything
containing Imidacloprid as the active ingredient. Merit & Bayer Tree & Shrub
are examples.
Pumpkins grown for produce or resale would require the use of Admire or
other Imidacloprid insecticide that contains the proper worker reentry
language on the label.

Subject: cucumber beetles
I checked my pumpkins about 6:30 this evening, and they had striped cucumber
beetles on them. I ran back with the Sevin and sprinkled them really
heavily. Storm coming in tonight will likely wash all of it off, but I'll
head for the hardware store in the morning for a long-lasting systemic
spray.
They have about 4-6 true leaves. Any suggestions as to what I should use?
Thank you; I'm trying to remain calm.
cheers,
duchess of gladstone
