RE: T Tape

Hi,
I live in the Southeast corner of Ireland and usually grow pumpkins that are good craving ones (like jumpin jacks). 19 years ago I grew what was then the largest pumpkin in Ireland (only 287lbs, small by today's records but not much competition... that has changes as the current record is well over 700lbs). I am trying for a big one for the first time in 19 years. I have a Plant going from a good seed. It is about 3 feet long now and is under plastic, I was wondering if I should be light burying the main vine at this point. Any other advice on how to proceed at this stage would be greatly appreciated as I am not really familiar with giant pumpkin techniques. Thanks, John

I think responding to previous email messages is the norm. That's what I've
been doing anyway.
