Greer 1006

On the morning of day number 6 my Greer 1006 finally stuck out a small root.
It is alive. Under similar circumstances there appears to be great
variability from seed to seed even from the same pumpkin. Is this genetically
related? Is it predictive? Is an early sprouter more likely to be a great
palnt? And just how often does a great plant produce a great pumpkin all
other things being equal (ie treatment, weather etc)? Anyone have any
thoughts?
