Duncan -
I now have 2 Holland 728's and one Greer 1006 germinating, plus another
whose grandparents were 836 and 700. All took root within 48 hrs.
In addition, I expect results soon from another Holland, a 876.5 Lloyd,
and a Marcellus 449.
I wish now I hadn't started so many - I'll only put 3 or 4 in the cold frame.
The cold frame is a joy to behold. It has a bit of heat from the cable, so
I'll be able to transplant 2 weeks earlier than last year.
The big decision is which one to go with. Pumpkinguy thinks the 1006 might
be too much of a gamble for just one plant, buy hey! - think of the fun in
having that seed growing!
