Oregon Update

Hi All,
Well its been 18 days now since I filed me seeds, here is how the patch is
sizing up so far. 
Site #1- #698 Richart-  This young lady was first out of the blocks, but has
allowed itself to slip to second in terms of vigor.  It looked like I had a
little too much fert. around the plant due to a little burning of the edges
of the new leaves.  I watered the heck out of the area to leach out some of
it.  The youngin is doing better now, and working on its third true leaf.
Site #2- #827 Holland-  This baby is doing just fine.  Currently its still
unfolding its second true leaf, so it is a little behind the #698, but ahead
of the #850.  I haven't had any troubles yet with the #827, but I know that
stem splits await me in late Aug. and Sept.
Site #3- #850.5 LaRue-  One plant always has to bring up the rear end, and
well you know.  The #850 looks great having nice dark green color and such,
but it is just a little slow.  I will probably keep this one, but even know
the stem of the #567.5 was bent over due to an early accident, the seedling
has survived to my suprise.  Will definately keep an eye on it.  
Site #4- #627.5 Hester-  Was second out of the blocks, but is by far out in
front now.  Its first true leaf is still growing and is 7 x 7 inches now.
 The second true leaf is expanding rapidly and a third is starting to unfold.
 I have never had a 1st leaf that big before.  This plant has me excited for
the season ahead.
Squash site- #671 Stellpflug-  Never tried a giant squash,  looks good so
far.
All plants are going to get their second nitrogen booster here in three days.

P.S. Kohlrobi Wars update, seeds were up in three days.  Transplant in one
week.  Giant tomatoes doing great, giant carrots up, giant cabbage up, all
others go in tomorrow.
