Re: planting time


Jim,

I too started the Dickow 643 and 623, the seeds nearly lept out of the
ground, soaked 12 hrs. the 643 was up in 52hrs. and the 623 in 54 hrs.

It could be a very good plant, the 623 is a 511 Woodward X
786 Stellpflug, and the 643 is just the opposite cross.

The 511 Woodward of course grew the Herman Bax 990lb, but never produced
anything subsequently, who knows maybe it skipped a generation and you will
get the next 1,000 lbers.

I viewed the 643 at the HMB Weigh Off and the pumpkin had fantastic shape!
