Well guys and gals of the pumpkin growing persuasion, I am off to Reno for
the weekend with dreams of money in mind. Perhaps I can win big, so that I
can spend it on my patch.
I removed the cloches on two of my plants, for they were outgrowing them
already. The #627 and #827 are growing like a true pumpkin should and even
the 850.5 is looking good with a double vine main vine. The plants have
grown considerably this last few days, and my hopes keep rising. Main vine
direction is weird this year. One going due north, one going southwest, one
going due south, and on growing straight in the air like a tree. weird! Do
pumpkins grow on trees? At least the stem on that one looks like a tree
trunk about the size being about 3 inches in diameter already.
Take care all, Brett the pumpkinguru
