Re: plant communication

Communication limitations not buying it.

Its been my impression that plants will do what ever is required to stay
alive and reproduce. The fact that these pumpkins send down roots at leaf
junctions is an indicator they are in search of more nutrients to support
its massive body. So you have base roots and support roots. So the root
system is really wide. Where is the communication limited to. It has
always been my impression that roots feed the stem and leaves and the
leaves through photosynthesis gather food to feed everything and create
storage. And this happens in * kinda * like circulatory fashion. The
more leaves the more food gathered. The more food gathered the more roots
and on and on. Now when we try and build a nice plant and then shut it down
to send a massive amount of food to the fruit it can grow or blow. But in
my opinion i would rather see folks grow as big a plant as they can. I
don't think any Massive fruit has been produced under 500sq ft.
