Bad weather.

Depressing weather here in central PA. It just keeps raining. Mud everywhere.
Water running in streams down off the mountains. I am very seriously thinking
that I should have built my Pumpkin Dome this year instead of waiting for the
architects to complete the design so that I could go out for bids. I should
have just done it. Now I am up to my elbows in mud. Last year the weather was
bad. Could this year be worse? Now I am beginning to understand why some
growers have 20 feet by 20 feet cloches. With that kind of a structure you do
gain some consistancy as you have at least a little early season control over
the weather.

Marv "all wet" in Altoona PA.

Rumor from Washington area is that Joe Mills purchased an abandoned warehouse
for the sole purpose of growing pumpkins. Wayne Hackney is acting as
consultant to the project and has a small area set aside for boat
construction. Is this rumor true? Joe, please confirm or deny. Wayne,
substantiate. Canadians were reported to have rented a room in near-by hotel
on top floor to observe area? Name on hotel roster was Joe Farmergus.
