Where do you live.....that is, can you plant your seedlings outside in a few
days or so? If not, you could have problems, as the 3 inch peat pots are small
and if these are Atlantic Giant seedlings, their roots will push through the
peat pots in a few days, and anchor in the soil in your "terrarium". This is
not good, as AGs do not like having their roots disturbed. It is this reason
that growers will advise a larger peat pot (sometimes hard to find) so you can
hold the seedlings a bit longer and harden them off in cooler climates before
planting in the ground.
I started some Cinderella pumpkins after I got my AGs up, and their roots
systems were so aggressive, I had roots through the pots two days before they
broke ground.
