Fwd: Cucumber Beetles

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Start putting Sevin on now.
Use either the dust of whatever you used last year. You won't hurt the plants.

Howdy Folks,

I am a little concerned about Cucumber Beetles this year because they
devastated my young plants last year.

-Has anyone seen any yet? Last year I didn't see any until early or
mid June. The trees and crops are 3 weeks ahead of last year around
here and I am starting to get worried about these little pests.

-After the initial attack last year I used Sevin to keep them at bay
for the rest of the season. What is the best way to apply this
product? Last year I mixed it in a watering can and poured it on the
plants. Is there a better way?

-Will a product like Sevin harm a plant at the three leaf stage?

Just want to be ready for the initial attack.

Thanks
