Hi Beth Rado!
Shellie Cramer here. Are both of the seed leaves out and is it starting on
it's first true leaf yet? If the seed casing is just hanging there you may
be able to gently remove it. I have a Andersen 815 that did the same thing.
I didn't file the edges of the seed enough and it ended up with only one
seed leaf coming through the soil and the other seed leaf and seed casing
stayed in the dirt. Well I transplanted it into the patch and it did fine.
It's been in the patch under the hoop house for 10 days and now has 4 true
leaves. I hope that 550 does something fantastic for you this year. I am
seeing good things happen here with my 416 and 657 too. It's exciting to
grow my own seeds too. I have always planted someone else's seeds. I may
find that I have the next Mombert 567 right in my own back yard.
