The crack continued to widen so I bit the bullet and sliced off the main
vine at that point and treated the wound with a fungicide. Secondary
vines are beginning to appear so I'll let one of them take the lead as
the "main vine".
I've updated my web page with photos of the crack taken just before the
radical surgery. There are also some photos of the larger cold frame I
put in place yesterday.
