Are you receiving to many postings from this mailing list? Then I
recommend you join the digest version.
The digest version complies 40K of data (lets say around 10 posts) and
then sends out one major post. This is a great way to still be on the
mailing list and reduce the amount of email you receive each day.
I am on the digest format and I don't even read the mail. I just follow
the threads on the Pumpkin mailing list archives and post from the web
for the subject of interest. My Uncle understands this process and he
loves it. This way, you only read the threads which interest you.
Look at Gus, he had to drop out because he was unable to tell from his
private mail from the mailing list. So I subscribed him to the digest
format and now I am sure he sees the benefits.
If you consider yourself skillful with the computer and don't mind doing
a cut and paste, then the digest format might be for you if think you
would reply to a message.
It is wise to unsubscribe from the regular mailing list before you
subscribe to the digest format unless you want more mail.
