SOUTHERN PUMPKINS, Zoo DUES

I should have listened to SPGA Treasurer Beth Rado and taken her advice
on setting up a reasonable membership system for our magazine but having
somewhat of a utopian disposition I figured we could just ask those
interested to support this venture through their donations. Let me
change that to uDOPEian disposition. Good for books and art but not
pumpkin magazines. Get into reality Zoo!

That said let me briefly tell you the new plan to support SOUTHERN
PUMPKINS.

First of all Southern Pumpkins is a limited edition magazine of 100
copies.
100 copies means 100 possible memberships. No more, no less.

Beth Rado had it right when she said $20 per membership would just about
cover cost. (all monies go back into the magazine and all work is
volunteer)

Those who have donated thus far have their 1998 membership dues paid. 

Those who have received their copies and have not donated can subscribe
by sending $20 to the SPGA Treasurer Beth Rado at:

This change will not effect the The activities of the Southern Alliance
Free Seed Bank in any way. We open heartedly welcome contributions.

One last reminder. In the near future (we hope) whenSPGA has found 100
die-hard pumpkinheads to support this magazine of ours through their
memberships it will not be possible to subscribe to Southern Pumpkins
because it is a limited edition so please consider your membership now
when you have the opportunity. For now we are looking for members from
our region (SE-US plus DC,TX and LA) but will open open subscribing
outside the region if membership are left. (for those outside the region
let SPGA know of your interest and we will put you on a waiting list on
a first come basis)

Thanks to the list for helping the SPGA get started and we apologize for
intruding our business here but we are ALMOST an independent entity but
are not quite on our own two feet yet. We still need your help and
patience.
