all of my 977s are doomed i think i tried three different
methods so far and only one has started to grow at all.
that one i ended up digging back up after waiting three or
four days longer than the rest took. it was starting to rot
inside the seed but had a very short but thick root so i
carfully peeled the seed covers off and have been watering
with a captain/water mix and it seems to be starting to grow
but not well. so on my very last seed i have it in a glass
with a moist paper towel with the edges lightly sanded.
has no sign of life since friday. but on the other hand
my 815 is going great.

Denise,
Has your Andersen 977 germinated yet?
I started mine on 5-10 and no "ignition" yet. I think I am getting the sense
from the list that this seed either pops quickly or not at all.
If yours has germinated, what starting technique did you use?
