RE: Andersen 977


If people are at all like me they can't wait a week to see if their
precious seed has germinated. They are called "diggers". They usually do
more damage then anything else. I need to see whats taking place. I like
to transplant very early on. I don't like the roots traveling upwards on
the side of the pot or getting balled up. The plants take transplanting
much better early on as well. They don't need much water when starting.
I don't water my seedlings because they don't need it. If you have water
dripping out of the holes in your seedling pots you are overwatering. I
would have them in an enviroment that was humid enough that the soil
would maintain its moisture without watering. 

By thew way Chris Andersen's plant was not pollinated until nearly 20
feet out so be patient waiting for the females.
