If you release the raccoon at your house you haven't
accomplished anything.
Take the raccoon to a neighborhood you don't like and
release the raccoon there,
but make sure it's at least 5 miles from your house.
Be careful on release, I have a friend missing 1/2 his index
finger from holding the
door on a havahart and the raccoon took the finger on his
way out the door. A trapped
raccoon is a very dangerous animal.
