First Update from SE Mn.

Once again, it is AG pumpkin seed germination time in southeast
Minnesota as the process started the evening of April 30. The seeds were
soaked 3-4 hours and then placed in damp paper towels. The paper towels
were placed in a zip lock bags and placed on plates on a heating pad.
After 54 hours, the following AG pumpkin seeds have started to root:

1) 968 Sproule 98 -- 36 hours
2) 740 Wray 98 -- 38 hours
3) 452 Heyne 97 -- 38 hours
4) 400 (UOW) Heyne 98 -- 40 hours
5) 765 Bruce 98 -- 41 hours
6) 584 Heyne 98 -- 42 hours
7) 693 Heyne 98 -- 42 hours
8) 693 Heyne 98 -- 42 hours
9) 423 Heyne 98 -- 48 hours
10) 608 Hester 98 -- 48 hours
11) 858 Baird 97 -- 54 hours

Eight 2'x3' holes have been dug and filled. Still have a few more holes
to prepare. Still have several more seeds I hope germinate.

The weather has been beautiful in this part of the country with sunny
skies and the temperatures in the mid 70s. This area received 6.5 inches
of rain in April and the fields are in great shape. That is it for now
from southeast Minnesota.
