Hello,
Had a great germination test on the Adams 316. Started soaking seeds Sat. at
7:00 PM, put in wet paper towel and zip lock bag and put on top of computer
monitor up toward the front Sun. at 5:00 PM. Soaked for a total of 22 hours.
Checked 5:00 PM Mon. evening and 8 out of 10 had 1/2" roots. Checked 5:00 PM
Tues. and #9 had 1/2" root and the other 8 had grown to 1 & 1/2" long and had
turned up toward the top of the seed. Would these seeds still be good to
plant with the U shaped root? Will it turn back down? Also, do you need a
special type of light after you put them in a peat pot or will a regular old
light bulb do?
Last year I soaked my seeds 16 hours and this year 22 hours. Both years they
germinated very good. I don't know if it helps any more to soak them a long
time but I don't think it hurts any. thank you very much Doug, Carrollton, Ga.
