Re: electric fencing ? Cayenne Pepper & Hot Pepper Wax Spray

My solution is to surround my patch with a fence made of a double layer of
bird-netting.   It defeated last year's squirrel from Hell, so it is worth
something.

The fence is 4' high, with additional 1' long flaps at top and bottom.  I
dumped a few inches of dirt on  the bottom flap (to prevent burrowing), and
curved the top flap out and away from the patch with some clotheshangers
(to inhibit climbing).  The double layer stopped chew-through attacks,
which a single layer did not.

PS: Cayenne pepper spray did not stop that particular squirrel.  It just
ate less tender portions of the plant that  were exposed.
