Then either Outlook 98 is broken and shouldn't be used, or you have it
misconfigured. RFC821, the Internet standard for email, specifies that
every email message shall have a From: address.
Microsoft gets a lot of things wrong, (sometimes on purpose) so you would
probably be best off switching to a better mail reader program. There are
lots of commercial and free alternatives to Outlook 98 that are superior.
