When any seed fails to germinate, I suggest owners cut the seed open
and look at it. I have only had two dead seeds and they had almost
nothing inside and no bad smell. I think this may mean they did not rot
due to bacteria, but rather some autolysis or defective seed in the
first place. Then send your results to indbio@disknet.com Germination
of seeds and problems in germination are an interesting topic. We might
find something useful when we take time to look.
Germination of unwanted seeds from small AGs (especially those from
selfed fruits). Would make interesting science projects for kids and
require no garden space.
