One never hears of Remay in Indiana. I guess it is a trademark for the
products we call spum bonded polyester and floating row covers. It is
very useful stuff and would get a lot more use if it cost less and was
more resistant to tearing on plants and frames. It can help the
temperature a few degrees warmer on strawberries and that can save a
crop. It keeps most insects out if the edges are sealed by shoveling
dirt onto them. It would be great for keep japanese beetles off
blackberries (fruit), but is torn so easily on the taller plants that it
is too costly to use.
