My 940 Mombert is growing like crazy and I'm curious to see how this
plant compares to others that have been grown.
The cotyledons are 3" X 5", measuring 10 1/2 inches across the plant
(my 449 Marcellus is second at 9 1/2 inches and the 876.5 Lloyd is
third at 8 1/2).
The first true leaf on the Mombert 940 measures 10 inches in diameter
and the second leaf is just coming out and is about 10 now and still
growing. The 876.5 has a first leaf measuring 7 1/2 inches in
diameter and the 449 measures 6. The second leaf on the 876.5 is up
there though, 9 1/2 inches and that plant looks really good--very
perky (stands high and vigorous and doesn't tend to wilt as much in
the heat as the others, which is a good trait here in Utah where the
summer-time highs average 92 degrees.)
So, I'm just wondering how the biggest plants around compare with
this mighty Mombert at this stage.
