Someone correct me if I am wrong here please!
Make sure that they understand that the black spots on the seeds are a
result of the pumpkin being cracked and air getting into the seed cavity -
thus the discoloration is or mildew is "airborne". I am sure it is the same
"mildew" that would infect a cracked pumpkin down in your country as well.
Nothing too foreign I am sure!
